I'm a non-American colonial Anglo with a BA. The thing is utterly useless, and has done absolutely nothing to land me in a career. In fact after being semi-employed for my first three years after graduation I'm literally considering joining the army as my only viable career opportunity.
I don't really regret going to university because it was so much damn fun and it didn't put me in debt, but it's difficult to impart just how fucking USELESS a non-STEM bachelors is. Like, I have a BA, my main hobbies are reading and writing, and I unironically think 95% of all arts and social science faculties should be shut down. They create and impart no knowledge. The level of education is just... pathetically low. They expect so little from students that it's embarrassing. And I went to my country's "Second best school". "top 30 globally", my fellow students could barely write coherent sentences. Their understanding of history was simply preposterous, they live with a conception of history that's far more cartoonish than stuff like Phantom Time or Revised History theories. No one fails out because that would mean the school loses money. Everyone graduates, no one learns anything, the whole thing is a joke.
I went to Uni to have fun and it was a roaring success, and I'm facing the consequences I knew I would be when the whole thing is over. I'm just as if not less employable than the average high school graduate and I'm poor as shit three years later, though thankfully not in debt.
Boys aren't going to university- it's because the scam is too obvious now. Especially when schools didn't reduce tuition for going virtual last year, what a joke

>look up philosophy professor on a whim
>he has his own wikipedia article and is apparently decently well-known within his field
I know that having a wikipedia article and being cited by your peers isn't an especially high threshold, but has /lit/ ever taken a class from a genuinely well-known academic? I know there are actually famous philosophers and theorists who still teach, and I'm interested how taking a class from someone famous differs from taking it from a no-name lecturer. Even just knowing my professor is moderately notable makes me look at my class a bit differently now, I already feel a little bad for being late and not taking it seriously enough.

Just dropped my 7th book in a row.
Is progression from complootionist to droopper a natural one or I just outgrew the medium?
