>Rene Guenon is the most correct, smartest and most important person of the twentieth century. There was no smarter, deeper, clearer, absolute Guenon and probably could not be. It is no coincidence that the French traditionalist René Allé in one collection dedicated to R. Guenon compared Guenon with Marx. It would seem that there are completely different, opposite figures. Guenon is a conservative hyper-traditionalist. Marx is a revolutionary innovator, a radical overthrower of traditions. But Rene Halle rightly guessed the revolutionary message of each of Guenon's statements, the extreme, cruel noncomformity of his position, which turns everything and everything upside down, the radical nature of his thought. The fact is that René Guenon is the only author, the only thinker of the twentieth century, and maybe many, many centuries before that, who not only identified and confronted with each other secondary language paradigms, but also put into question the very essence of language (and metalanguage).

>The language of Marxism was methodologically very interesting (especially at a certain historical stage), subtly reducing the historical existence of mankind to a clear and convincing formula for confronting labor and capital (which, in fact, was a colossal revolutionary and predictive course, because it allowed many things to be systematized and brought together into a single, more or less consistent, dynamic structure). Being a great paradigmatic success, Marxism was so popular and won the minds of the best intellectuals of the twentieth century. But R. Guenon is an even more fundamental generalization, an even more radical removal of masks, an even broader worldview contestation, putting everything into question.

>The shadows grew deep as the sun set over the warm Cairo market, the smell of hookah smoke, spices and camel dung wafting through the palm trees and fires roasting animals over the ponds and fields into the windows of incense-scented humble dwellings furnished with luxurious carpets and plants. Contortionists, soldiers, catamites, madmen, beggars, saints, students, slaves, dancers, assassins and bureaucrats teemed throughout the evening tinged with electric air that hummed with cicadas. Rene Guénon exhaled a cloud of opium smoke and gazed across the room at his ever-expanding collection of Sanskrit literature. His young wife entered into the room through the bead doorway.

>She dropped her robe to reveal intricate henna tattoos covering her lithe nude body. She walked over to the low couch he was laying on and straddled him. Rene gradually emerged out of nididhyāsana back down to the baseline state of constant samadhi that he had been in for the past 8 years. It was time for the non-volitional and divine līlā of the Supreme Being to dance forth in ecstatic bliss. Sakti sought union with her dear Shiva. She masterbated him as he sucked on her perky tits. Guenon lay back and Sakti mounted her Lord. Bliss shined like sunlight from the One illuminating them both. Adam and Even were one in Paradise again, the mutual embodiment of al-Insān al-Kāmil and all his wives. The primordial state revealed itself as having existed all along. Rene become the All. Being and becoming simultaneously disappeared and the perfect bliss entered into itself. God shone forth in eternal plenitude, hypererotic sexual union experienced as tranquil observer. Brass windchimes singing an enchanting harmony in the breeze.

>Rene began to feel energy rising through his chakras, he immediately concentrated his third eye and clenched the subtle nerve running from the tip of the penis to the bottom of the spine. His time spent training in the Parisian suberbs with master Ho Shi-Quan had paid off. He reversed ejaculated into his chakras, Qi energy poured fourth into his body. Rene and his wife both went into a ten minute long trance accompanied by a perpetual dry orgasm. Purusha melded into Prakriti, both giving way to the Tao. Rene entered into a state of fanāʾ; the la petite mort a ritual reenactment of Prajapati's atmayajñá. The evening call to prayer was calmly sounded from by a muezzin from the minaret of a nearby mosque. The stars twinkled over the cold night as cheetahs chased hares over grassy dunes overlooking the nile, men pissing on fires, reading texts by candlelight. Cotton and silk, anise, heavy eyeliner, garlic breath hidden with rose water, tall tales, secret meetings of initiations and schemes.

He makes me deeply doubt my faith. If the mystics outside the Church reach the same states as our saints, contemplate the same Union with God, the whole doctrine of the exclusivity of salvation and the whole primacy of Christianity will collapse.

I found a text by Garrigou-Lagrange on this subject but it does not convince me: http://salve-regina.com/index.php?title=Prémystique_naturelle_et_mystique_surnaturelle

The English mentality, certainly, has no aptitude for metaphysical conceptions, but neither does it have any pretension to having any, whereas the German mentality, which is not any more gifted in this regard, creates for itself the greatest illusions... if we consider German philosophy, we find only hypotheses and systems with metaphysical pretensions, deductions which originate in fantasy, ideas which want to pass for profound when they are simply nebulous; and this pseudo-metaphysics, that which is furthest from true metaphysics, the Germans want to find it in others, and of which they will always interpret in light of their own conceptions: this last fault is nowhere more invincible than with them, because no other people has a frame of mind as narrowly systematic...the Germans imagine that their philosophies have thought all that is possible for man to conceive, and no doubt they believe they bestow a great honor on other peoples by assimilating their conceptions to this philosophy of which they are so proud.

It would be unjust to not recognize in the Germans these very real qualities of erudition which they possess: the truth is they excel in the composition of dictionaries, grammar books, and voluminous works of compilation and bibliography which require nothing more than memory and patience; it is extremely regrettable that they did not entirely specialize in this genre of work very useful for consulting on occasion, and which, appreciably, save others who are capable of doing other things from wasting their time.

When we are incapable of doing metaphysics, it is best assuredly to not occupy oneself with it, and positivism, despite being narrow and incomplete, seems to us more preferable to the wild imaginings of pseudo-metaphysics.

Could the left's ideas of class analysis be used to set up the conditions for a conservative or traditional civilization? In order for the immaterial to properly manifest it has to be based on the lower structures first actually.
