I studied English, German and French in school, and in the past I've learned the basics of several other languages just for fun. Currently I only practise the languages by reading and shitposting.

When I go to uni (illness prevented me from starting this year) I intend on majoring in German. Since I'm fairly introverted I'll probably end up as a translator or copywriter.

I just finished Catch 22 and I can say that made me laugh so intensely and much more than Don Quixote so I may have to say Catch 22, but then I didn't expect I'd fucking bawl my eyes out during the "I'm Cold" part towards the end either.

The holy ghost is represented by the bird of Astarte the dove, who in early Christian times was called Sophia. >>11825539 has become a substitute, to keep the archetype of the family, as well as "in a supracelestial place" (Plato). Christ the bridegroom, the Church is the bride, the baptismal font the womb of the Church (Benedictio fontis). The holy water has salt with the idea of making like the amniotic fluid or sea water. Hieros gamos is performed on holy saturday before Easter, a burning candle as a phallic symbol plunged 3 times into the font for fertilization and lending power to bear the baptized child (quasimodo genitus). The "pontifex maximus" or "Papa" is just the mana personality or medicine man, the Church "mater ecclesia," or "magna mater" of magic power, and humanity are the children in need of grace.

I picked up a few books from my local Tesco's charity booksale thing yesterday.

Jonathan Franzen's Freedom
Charles Dickens' Dombey and Son
DH Lawrence's Sons and Lovers
Mark Twain's Letters from Hawaii
Paul Auster's The New York Trilogy

How did I do, guys? I don't usually see books there that interest me and it cost me less than £1.

You can prove you've read a certain book when challenged, right?

Comparing LSD to alcohol is like comparing a pair of running shoes to the fucking Space Shuttle.

Technically the same thing, In principle. But you'd have to be pretty retarded to argue for an equivalence of any kind.
