Well... OP probably wants to know what is a likewise epidemic and grating literary technique that is spreading the way uptalk does.
Probably the way Chuck Wendig writes his books. Lots of short sentences. Sometimes only one or two words. Like so. To communicate immediacy and flow of consciousness. In a Star Wars book. Can you imagine? Also - dashes. Dashes - like - everywhere. And everything is in present tense.
