Just started reading his "Anti-Tech Revolution" and it's very well argued and sourced. There's some things to criticise so far, for example he relies on the Encyclopedia Britannica for some historical examples, but he also points out where it's wrong or over-simplifies which shows he's done research to verify what it says. Whenever there's a highly specific example, he cites a solid academic work and has clearly used a wide range of material. The first chapter and beginning of the second are very impressive and I agreed with a fair number of his conclusions, such as self-propagating systems being selected for globally and being in competition with each other without human guidance. As a contemporary example he gives the current conflict between the the politically correct left and reactionary right in the USA (I'd have to check his exact wording though), which does ring true, while there are obvious individuals who have large input, they're also continually reacting to the chaotic outcomes of the systems they're dealing with.

He's starting to lose me with the argument that these competing systems will inevitably wipe out life on Earth, but admittedly he caveats that this is more speculative and I haven't read his whole argument yet. Considering this is his more accessible work, I'm impressed and I imagine Technological Slavery is a lot more technical. When he gets onto areas that I already know about I can see that he's writing as a teacher, and that Anti-Tech Revolution is meant to be an educational tool to allow an interested layperson to understand his thesis. On that level it's succeeding remarkably well for me so far.

Anyone else read his stuff and can expand on it?

So, I just got finished debating communists on Twitter.
Why do these people not understand that they're useful idiots of the Oligarchs and that their values don't represent the working class?
In fact, they exist to reinforce he taboo structure of neo-liberal Hegemony.
