I'd argue that wisdom is gained through experience .Intelligence can impact the absorption of wisdom, it doesn't define what can be taken in.
You might not have the aptitude of somebody who drew a longer straw, but at least you're not completely locked in place like somebody with a more serious disability. Try to think of your mental barriers as a challenge to be conquered rather than as a pointless struggle that will inevitably end in inferiority.
Or just follow the /lit/ tradition and surround yourself with idiots who make you feel secure.
