/lit/, how do I go about improving my retention? I didn't have much formal schooling and never learned how to take notes, but I'm reading a biography about Napoleon and have started marking down important events with colored page markers, but every chapter I have some new idea for how I should go about it, or realize I should have been marking down certain things that I haven't been. How does /lit/ take their notes when they want to retain as much as possible from a biography or some other similar book?
