Music is so fucking good. In some way it's painful that I don't think I'll ever be able to fully comprehend how to make a composition. I know all my major and minor scales, I know chord progressions, can count rhythms. Even after knowing some music theory I should be able to break the facade and see music for what it is, yet its still so satisfying to listen to. But when it comes to keyboard for composition at most I can make a basic chord progression, and a pathetically basic rhythm, and then I can't even put the two together. Trying to make my own pieces, and understanding what the old masters had done, just makes me respect them all the more. There's a level of passion and genius that goes into a good composition that I'll never even be able to take the first step towards.
