>notes all present but the text inside has completely disappeared for all but the shortest notes

Managed to retrieve all the stuff from 2012-2017 via backups but anything from 2017-2019 is probably gone forever. My only comfort is that 90% of it was complete garbage but the loss of that 10% is literally making me want to top myself.

What's your retard proof method for note taking?
