Hey, I wanted to know what you guys thought about demons related to more than one sin? I like the concept where demons are created based off of the seven deadly sins(Wrath, lust, greed, sloth, gluttony, envy, and pride), but I wanted to expand that concept and create demons related to 2 sins. I wanted to try and define the emotions that'd be a sub category of 2 sins, like Hedonism would be the combination of Gluttony and lust. Obviously doing sub categories for demons based on these sins is really hard to pull off, because some sins don't really work together, like wrath and sloth. anyone got any ideas for "compound emotions" or maybe monsters that'd conceptualize 2 sins?
Thanks for the help

Hey, I wanted to know what you guys thought about demons related to more than one sin? I like the concept from warhammer, where demons are created based off of the emotions of mortal, but I wanted to expand that concept and create demons related to the emotions that represent the seven deadly sins (Wrath, lust, greed, sloth, gluttony, envy, and pride).

And I thought it would be a cool idea to make demons based off of 2 sins. Obviously doing sub categories for demons based on these sins is really hard, as many aren't REALLY meant to be combined into subcategories (like wrath and sloth). so I wanted to try and categorize emotions that would represent two of the sins. like Lust + Gluttony = hedonism

I've got some ideas set out for some subcategories but I was curious about what you guys thought about the tougher ones.

Thanks for your time, have a good day

The 7 deadly sins are the wisest intellectual contribution of Christianity. There is no argument that an excess of Pride, Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth and Envy isn't utterly corrosive to one's character and constitution. I see it in myself, and we all see it in ourselves. To balance these humors is essential to being a healthy person with clarity of mind and straightness of priorities.

What are the worst things that you see people do when writing? I'm not talking split infinitives or dangling participles here, I mean things of which even one instance can ruin the entire work. Here's what I have so far:

>Gluttony - Lack of paragraph structure or, at worst, no paragraphs at all (wall of text)
>Greed - Multiple punctuation marks where one will do (e.g. triple exclamation points, ten period ellipses, things of that nature)
>Pride - Misuse/overuse of semicolons (typical of smug people who think they know more than they do; I'll admit it's more of a personal annoyance)
>Sloth - Use of text abbreviations or emojis (obvious exception: when characters are actually texting each other)
>Wrath - Excessive use of all-caps (I hold the belief that caps-lock is never ok in legitimate writing, but I'm sure there are places where it works in small doses)

That's all I got so far. Obviously, you don't tend to see these mistakes in published literature, but ebooks? Christ almighty, some of them are sinners!

What do you guys think? Can you think of ones for Lust and Envy? Can you think of better ones than these? Remember, these are stylistic problems with prose, nothing to do with the writing's content.
