General thoughts about the book WWZ are welcome.

it's written like a boring interview in a bad magazine.
every single character speaks with the same voice.
my ex-girlfriend recommended this book to me. i put the book down and broke up with her shortly thereafter for making me read something so awful

Just finished this book (World War Z) and need to discuss because it was a great read.

I personally really liked it, and I think it's the definitive zombie experience.

To bad the movie shat on it.

ITT audio books that are so well done its a better experience listening to them than reading the book.

My girlfriend has been bothering me to read this for the past 5 months (i'm serious). I've started it before and never got past the second chapter/story. I started reading it again today and again, stopped; I got farther than before though. I'm just so burnt out on this topic. Is are there any really good bits to this or is it all this generic zombie shit? It's not written that well either.

What did everyone think of World War Z. I thought it was a good book. Most likely because it was the first book I've ever read in a interview perspective.

The Rising, City Of The Dead, Dead Sea. Ghoul, Castaways (that one i didn't like).

i just finished to read this book, i was amazed on how good it was. The survivalism along with the fear and uncertainty was very well established. What /lit/ think about it ? I just read on wiki there will be a movie adaptation who is coming out december 2012

just bought it today;will start later. what did you think about it?

I just listened to this on audiobook (though it sounded more like a radio play with all the different voice actors). really enjoyed it, especially the storytelling style.

Any other Zombie recommended listens?

Hey /lit/, what're some really good post-apoc books?

WWZ barely counts. Looking for something with meat to it, WWZ was great but i need more.
Zombies aren't required but are always a bonus.
