This last day I have felt a sudden surge of anger and hatred. For no particular reason. I feel like I could kill and destroy anything and everything in my way if I let myself lose self-control. I feel disgusted at myself when I take an introspective look at myself and the thoughts that have crossed my mind. I have never had a criminal record or lashed out in a violent way or hurt any human being.

Carl Jung said that we must integrate our shadow but I have yet to find out how to do this. I feel like this would be a good time to explore this idea since I've had these thoughts of violence.

Are there any books on how to deal with this?

How to Greek mythology? What is a good starting point? What are the essential readings?
