Lol no. The Scots-Irish were on the margins of Colonial American society, in fact, quite a number of them were loyalists in the Revolutionary War. The English were by and large who created the culture and traditions we now recognize as American. We're a Northern Puritan / Middle Quaker Kraut / Southern Royalist / Scots-Irish Hillbilly hybrid, although the Puritans and Royalist Planters had the largest impact on our culture.
