This book is kicking my ass. I feel like there are so many deeper meanings I am missing in the dialogues. What are some essential commentaries I can read to help me understand?

I just started reading Plato and this shit is FUN to read.
Why is this so much FUN?
If I told people I was reading Plato for fun they would look at me like I was insane.

Im reading 20 pages per day since I've calculated that ill finish it in 3 months. 20 is the low side and im really aiming for 30. But how do i get the most out of this book? Im currently on Cratylus and theres just so much stuff and i don't want to finish the book having gained nothing in the end.

what are the best dialogues? give us your top 4 and the reasons for them. which one's should I focus on more than others?

I guess one should start with Plato but nobody has time nor energy to read 1,8k of oligarchic pederast gibberish. He's necessary for Aristotle and he's in turn necessary for modern and post-modern philosophy.

So where did you start? Did you shamelessly buy individual Penguin Classics like coombrains or did you get this monstrosity?

Is Plato's theory of the forms ontological or epistemological?

Is this worth £40 ($50)? I've heard it's the best edition of his works, but the price seems excessive for a book that's still printed. Does anyone own it or a different publisher's works who has an opinion on the matter?

Where to go after Plato & Aristotle? My main goal right now is to absorb as much Philosophy as I can but I get mixed answers when searching the archives.

Most suggestions ar3 consisted of Christian Philosophy,The Bible,Kant?(This is far too big of a jump surely),Descartes and a few others.

I have read enough prereqs that I think I'm ready for platos complete work. I'd like to ask for a reading order. I dont really see recommendations for the entire work just some of the essential ones so I was thinking of reading

Euthyphro>Apology>Crito>Phaedo

and then just the rest in whatever order likely the the order they are placed in the book besides these. Does this sound good?

Does this has everything I need to move on to Aristotle? Im half way through so far really enjoying it

Would I be missing anything if I used the individual books of the dialogues published by hackett using the same translators?

I do most of my reading while commuting and don't want to lug around a giant hardcover.

There's not a standard order in which to read them. I personally own pic related, it's pricy but very high quality and well translated.
