Best novels about being a parent?

I know it’s indefensibly evil to have kids and bring a being into existence to suffer and toil without its consent but I can’t help it. I just want some fiction to scratch the itch.

Books about depression?

I'm incapable of forming human relationships.

My words are clumsy, I stagger while talking, and I can't think straight. Everything I write seems lame, and doesn't sound at all like what I have in mind. I'm not up to my own standards, and nothing I do truly satisfies me.
I feel like I haven't achived anything of what I had planned have done by this point of my life, and actually, I'm turning exactly on whom I didn't want to be. I feel disgusted by my current self. I'm so far from where I want to be.
