Though I haven't read Das Capital, I have read teh Communist Manifeso and it's pretty weak. The theory is completely flawed and implausible and all of his predictions were false. Does he change his views in Das Capital? Is it worth reading it?

Besides that yes/no question I wanted to discuss whether or not the Communist manifesto was significant to the world from a practical point (specifically Western countries). Was it that prompted the 8 hour work day, the workers' rights in the US? Or was it just an insignificant addition to an already living movement? And here I want to tie those predictions he made; do you think he was wrong because his contribution help avert that growing gap that will eventually lead to the revolution?
