There seems to be a split between people with pure disdain for this novel, and people who proclaim it one of the greatest works of american literature. Very rarely an inbetween. Why is this?

The reality that many of you on this board have not read this book is a travesty. Ignatius is all of us. I talk like him now.

Is there a funnier book? (If you didn't think it was funny, I don't care about your opinion)

Just finished reading this book, I don't know when was the last time a book got me hooked like a drug but this was it. It was just bizarre, engaging but also not unbelievable, it slowed down a bit in the middle but overall it was an entertaining read that I will certainly read again in the future. Now I just wish there was a sequel with the Minx and Ignatius goofing off in New York.
