I already did. I traveled all continents and almost died a couple of times, sometimes in very stupid ways. I worked in twenty different fields already and I had the weirdest kinds of relationships. My life right now is somewhat like "settling down". I don't drink as much anymore as when I was in my 20s.

I read at my desk on my desktop, saves me from being uncomfortable. Otherwise I'll listen to books while I'm out, lugging books around sucks. The only time I purchase a book anymore is to add it to my home collection for shallow reasons like showing off or just reminding myself of having read it.

Im ambivalent to the idea of being dead, but being alive is pretty neat. Being alive is almost like living with tech; really neat and fun, but I could go without it if rubber hit the road. Im not going to pretend that death is some otherworldly experience that makes us truly human though, if we abolished it that would be cool.

Pain is a whole other thing though. You can miss me with that.

>harsh truths
I try not to ignore anything, and if I were ignoring something this question isnt helping me remember anything. Stupid question.
>free will
Its an illusion but luckily we can live as if it does exist
>meaning in life
You can make meaning, there is not inherent meaning.
>art or not art
art is art if anyone deems it so
>goal of humanity
live better than yesterday
>fate
As a concept, yes. As an actual higher trend and forces thing, as I see it no.
>how to live a good life
By living a life that you and the ones you impact can be happy about

>everyone around me that I love keeps dying, generally suffering slowly with gradually increasing pain until they finally go
>happiness, the one thing in life everyone wants to feel, is completely unattainable and yet we can comprehend what it would feel like to experience it, like a horrible tease
>things are bad now, and you know that the longer you live the worse and worse it will get without ever letting up

have any philosophers contemplated the possibility that we're already on some plane of hell?

It will never be as hype as when the last books were coming out. As long as self directed school reading is a thing harry potter books will be around. I hope that the next gen reads harry potter, but Im afraid hollywood is going to milk it like starwars. Thankfully fantastic beasts wasnt a blockbuster.

Gets me thinking about what a movie does to a source. Even though Watchmen wasnt a great adaptation, did it do an overall good thing by introducing people to the source?
