>You've mentioned a single person that has done little to effect the current state of christianity.

You literally have no fucking idea what you're talking about.

Little to effect the current state of Christianity? Really?

After Paul Augustine is easily the most influential Christan to have ever lived. Seriously, before this thread had you ever even heard of Augustine?

His name usually pops up in philosophy courses. I'm starting to think that you've never taken one.

/lit/, which do you prefer; long books or short books?

To preempt some of the trivial bullshit that will inevitably be brought up to carry this thread off topic, let me go on to say that what defines "long" and "short" are completely up to your digression.

Moreover, let me go on to say that I believe there to be a great difference between long works to short works, namely that long works are (in my opinion) supposed to be epic, incredibly detailed sweeping stories which tackle multiple concepts at once and that short novels are short, simple but also poignant and readily open to interpretation.

In a sense it's comparing apples to oranges, but who's to say that you can't like one over the other?

Feel free to share your own favorite works that you think encapsulate these two categories. Or call me a faggot, that's fine too.

In my office I do not allow that in my office.

What word is this an example of? I can't think of it.

Pic related, I'm making that face.

I think you're a pussy. /lit/ is capable of well-reasoned feedback. /lit/ is a good place for critique because there are no social barriers keeping people from voicing their honest opinions. Things should be taken with some reservations, as any shmoe can post a critique, but to imply that there is nothing to be gained by posting one's work here is naive.

>Oh no! The big scary 4chan monster is going to call me a faggot! Whatever shall I do!

Hey, /lit/. It's mother's day and I'm thinking about getting a book for my mom. She doesn't really read, but she said she would if she had something which interested her. The last thing she read was the Twilight series and before that it was Narnia. I'm trying to steer clear of that sort of shit, but it's important that the book isn't too hard for her.

When she was younger her favorite book was A Wrinkle in Time. So something fun and easy, but hopefully not fucking retarded.

Help?
