all vintage covers that are somewhat decent except instead of having the author's full name, they say VINTAGE SURNAME like the author is part of their fucking brand, it's not just faulkner, it's VINTAGE faulkner (tm)
it bothers me unreasonable

Richard Yates in general is great sadcore. He seems to really understand how disappointing life can be, and does it in a very sympathetic, but precise way.
