>'The patent system has been responsible for an uncountable amount of innovations in the West, and saying something is "anti-intellectual" or a "novel perversion" is just empty filler.'
>names precisely 0 of these "uncountable innovations"

>"If you want to get into why authors didn't sign their works in the past, that's a whole different discussion, but folk tales and oral traditions were the main form of story-telling prior to perhaps Chaucer, and folk tales by their very nature have no author (the stories change on different retellings or in different cultures)"

/lit/ is so retarded thinking you can judge well received writer's quality simply from a fucking paragraph. There is seriously nothing absolutely done technically bad in this excerpt. You are supposed to judge a novel on the merits of the entire work, and the literary devices used on a chapter to chapter basis. A beautiful paragraph is a rare exception to this rule, not every paragraph is going to be a homerun masterpiece.

Has nobody read Ishiguro at all? Never Let me Go is a seriously good novel.

Does /lit/ even fucking read?

Just be glad it isn't some fucking SJW jew or songwriter.

You can't. An "intellectual" is someone who has studied and has an opinion based on evidence. Using intelligence to clarify and prove their statements. He also uses intelligence to refute or agree with these statements, and knows if he has enough information himself to even refute.

Except on this board someone who does that would still be called a redditor or a pseud if that opinion doesn't concede to their cultural dogma. 4chan has played itself into a cultural war, a stupid game of sides where all taste and opinion comes from the collective conscience.

I really don't know what the fuck you are on about, but you use lots of thesaurus words so you must be right.

You are the archtype of every contrarian fedora neckbeard poster that attacks the content of a artist using his following as your only cheap ammunition instead of saying anything meaningful to the actual work itself.

Freewill has yet to be proven or not mathematically. It's no longer a question of pure philosophy.

Opinion: It doesn't matter either way, we are all living in the moment of continuous time, therefore events will continue to occur at their standard despite if there is freewill or not, and your consciousness won't change either.

>I definitely score at least 5 here.

If they're the first five then you're probably just your typical frustrated c/lit/ who daydreams about being a great writer. Not anything to really freak out over, as long as you're mindful of the inherent childishness of it you'll shed that eventually.

It's the lack of empathy for others that is the real indicator. If that is a continual issue for you then you might be right to be worried.

Kek, as they say.

Any way, stop bothering /lit/. This isn't the first /lit/ raid and you know it.
