For some reason I've started getting an interest in romantic novels. I did an impulse buy and got 'the notebook' and three books by Anna Galvada.
I don't know anybody who has read these kinds of books. Have any of you?

I have 40 pages left of 'the notebook' and I dislike the prose. The dialogues seem hamfisted and there are too many "you always were a ... kind of person" or "you're too ..., but then again, that's what I liked about you 17 years ago". It doesn't feel natural.
Since one of the main characters are unfaithful to their soon to be husband I've gotten a real dislike for her. Is this supposed to be the case? In any case, this thread isn't about this book in particular but rather of the genre as a whole. Any suggestions?

Why do people on /lit/ love Stirner so much when he's really nothing more than a glorified sociopath?
Is it because they are also sociopaths and thus identify with him?

Stirner was laughed at throughout his entire adult life and intentionally alienated anyone who ever tried to form an emotional connection with him - resulting him dying in crushing poverty; cold, tired, and alone. If he were still alive today he'd be considered a freak by anyone who talked to him and ostracized by all save for those equally as socially maladjusted as he was.
