In what way does Deleuze refute Hegel? I've heard Deleuze was an "anti-hegelian philosopher". I have read a lot of Deleuze and am currently studying Hegel, I do not see how Deleuze is anti-hegelian exactly. Can somebody explain?

I don't advocate chain smoking or anything like that, but a cigarette every few days, or more rarely, is a fine little treat that stimulates the mind, especially when immersed in a long period of reading and/or writing. It makes sense to me that so many great writers and thinkers smoked.

Last night I had a dream about Gilles Deleuze

I was walking around an aquarium, and I went through a door that I thought led to the bathroom. It was actually a giant movie theater, playing some art house film (I think it was Godard's "Weekend"). On one side of the theater, a bunch of French intellectuals were seated, intensely focused on the film. On the other side, a couple normies and random people were seated, looking bored. As I went to take my seat, I saw Gilles Deleuze-- wearing a cowboy hat-- sitting in the side row. I waved and said hi to him, and he looked at me, smiled, and tipped his hat at me.

After the movie was over, I was sitting at the aquarium bar, and Deleuze was sitting at the other end alone. A woman came up to me, and started aggressively hitting on me to the point where I felt a little uncomfortable (which is strange because in real life I always relish in female attention, no matter how intense). She was grabbing me, looking at me all intense like, and repeatedly telling me how beautiful I am. At this point, she turned to Gilles, who was still sitting at the end of the bar, and said " Hey you, isn't he so cute?" He looked at her and said "indeed he is," then looked to me and said "you are very handsome."

I don't know what happened after this, but it was equally as surreal, and Deleuze didn't make another appearance.

you guys are retarded. if you'd actually read and internalized deleuze at any depth you wouldn't subscribe to misguided nostalgic right-wing ideologies, nor try to use his work to justify them. not that i'm a leftist, because i'm not, but any thinking person who has read deleuze must see beyond retarded twentieth-century left-right dichotomies. morons.

Can you get into Deleuze without having a philosophy background?

Any recommendations on how would you go on about this?

>Our epoch is a birth-time, and a period of transition. The spirit of man has broken with the old order of things hitherto prevailing, and with the old ways of thinking, and is in the mind to let them all sink into the depths of the past and to set about its own transformation.

Its spooky horseshit like this which is why CBT is useless. CBT doesn't cure anyone, all it does is train you to respond positively to psychometrics. I wish it was anymore complicated than that
