any books dressing a critical history of psychology?
especially i am interested in knowing where is the legit and where is the quackery in Freud/Jung/Maslow etc.

My impression as an outsider is that a good bit seems unverifiable/unobservable and sometimes doesn't even try to explains anything — for that reason I wonder whether or not these parts of psychology should even be considered as "science" (i.e. epistemological practice).
