Well, we have posts praising Dune again, so here we go with another rendition of trying to spread the word that Dune is a trash novel and that people who recommend Dune should be insulted and ridiculed on sight.
FAQ:
>Should I get Dune and try reading it?
No.
>I have started reading Dune and after just a few pages I can tell this is bad literature. Does it get better?
No. Just drop it and ask for a refund from the place you stole it from.
>The first book was really bad with a lot of Mary Sue characters, Deus Ex Machina plot and cringe dialogue, my god so cringe. I heard there are more of those novels in the series. Should I waste my time reading those too and pretend like things will improve since that is always the case in sequels?
No, idiot.
>What should I read instead?
I don't know what you already have read. But a safe bet is, if you have to ask such a question in response to being told not to read Dune you probably haven't even read the greeks yet. So start with the greeks. (Further questions relating to why one ought to have read the greek classics before reading more contemporary literature will not be answered since it is obvious to any /lit/ user)
>Is it possible to get filtered by Dune?
It is only possible to be filtered by Dune if one has the mental development of an autistic 2nd grader.
>Is this a marketing ploy fo-
No.

Do NOT fall for this trash.
it is pushed by people nostalgic for their middle school days, when they first read it, or soibois with the mental fortitude of a middle schooler.
