If after 2+ years of practice people still overwhelmingly think my writing is shit is it time to give up

I love writing but I dont want to keep wasting my life on something I suck at, especially if my chances of being both published and liked are less than zero

My reading speed does differ between books. Harry Potter I can read 1.7 pages per minute. Others it's like 1-1.5 pages a minute.
