I think things are reasonably steady. Most people have jobs. Anecdote time I was working outside the other day in a pretty conservative town and was talking to some guys about business and the usual stuff that guys talk about in this kinda town, y'know too much political correctness blah blah, and he said something like, "well our government sucks but the economy is doing well." We've outsourced a lot of our inflation and made the rest of the world eat it.
