I just finished Don Quixote. Why do people like this shit? The famous windmill madness was boring as fuck. The entire saga is inconsistent as hell (what's the name of Sancho's wife, did he get to rule a city or an island and how did they get the mule back after it was stolen etc.) and presumes the readers are idiots. Then in the second book it adds that the readers are assholes for finding entertainment in the mad ramblings of a sick man. The only segments of the books that are bearable to read are the few monologues concerning governance and warfare but all they really do is revamp ideas that have been expresses elsewhere more thoroughly and more eloquently.
