Hey bibliophiles, help me out.

There is a quite I distinctly remember from the first quarter of The Three Musketeers, to the effect that while one is in possession of wealth, they should be generous, so that in less wealthy times, those favors would be repaid on them.

Very, very appreciated effort if it can be found verbatim.
