Kindle Paperwhite so I recommend it; wouldn't refuse something similar if I had to buy one (Kindle Oasis) or if it was available in my country (Kobo whatever).

Also keep in mind, if you have a Kindle:
1. never ever run Calibre while your Kindle is connected (or connect Kindle while Calibre is running). It will try to rape it... in fact I recommend you block Calibre in your firewall. It's an excellent software but don't trust it with it's "friends."
2. don't convert epub to mobi, but to azw3 (the new native format of kindle, very close to epub i.e. html, much better looking footnotes)
