China's spiritual heritage was shattered to pieces during the cultural revolution (which their bugpeople mentality made them extra susceptible to), countless texts and artwork destroyed, countless knowledge lost. That's why Chinese people nowadays are materialist drones who eat gutter oil, obsess over designer clothing and run over toddlers without stopping, the average Chink doesn't know shit about Taoism and whatever of philosophical/esoteric Taoism that still existed in the 20th century was destroyed by Red Guards when they disemboweled Taoist priests and burned down their monasteries.
