Having read through the first part of City of God after being memed into it all I can think is "Every critique Augustine gives the Greco Romans here can be turned against him, and in fact has been by atheists many times."
Then thinking about is so do most books.
This begs the question, is there a single author who's rhetoric CANNOT be used against them?
