It's the story of two characters traveling across a post-war fallen empire, now occupied by two different superpowers. On their journey they visit several natural wonders and see how either industrialization or the occupiers have ruined or corrupted the once holy site. One character is a veteran of the wars that have ravaged his homeland and has been made all the more bitter for it. The other character is young and wealthy--from one of the occupying powers. Their chemistry was fun to write for. Oh and one might be escorting the other back to their home to face justice for killing four women.
