My girlfriend is a HUGE Tolkien fan- like she reads the Unfinished Tales and the Silmarillion and once watched all the extended edition movies without stopping. Anyway I'm planning to propose to her, and here's my plan.

Step 1: buy engagement ring, hide in my pocket (no box for sneaky reasons)
Step 2: take a trip to my lake house and bring her out fishing with me in a little rowboat. This will be the hardest part of the plan, because she loathes fishing.
Step 3: fall out of the boat near the shore. Might be a little tricky, because I need to do this without dropping the ring in the lake.
Step 4: go underwater for a while, grab a handful of mud from the bottom.
Step 5: pop up on the bank, secretly put the ring in my handful of mud.
Step 6: when she comes over, hold the mud/ring behind my back like i'm hiding it. She'll try to grab my hand, and when she does, I'll open it.
Step 7: drown in pussy after she realizes I'm proposing to her by way of LoTR.

No, I don't think that. I just know that others do. Way to simplify my entire post and roll out one of those factory-made 4chan responses. You're exactly the kind of person I'm taking issue with. You look at the surface and get dismissive the first chance you get because it's convenient.

So I don't. I call myself an independent, and when questioned further about my values, I specify them.

Yes, I understand what affirmative action is. It's when a white man and a black man of equal education and social standing apply for the same job, but the black man gets it because "boo hoo his ancestors might have been slaves".

And I don't let "some RW" nut do anything. I'm one person against an entire country of people who assume specific things based on vague labels. I'm taking a stand against that in the best way I know how.
