Holy motherfucking shit I just completed this book and I'm literally shaking trying to process all the fuckton of insights in it
Jesus Christ There's at least one hooly sheeet moment in every fucking page in this book.
The way this cocky anarkiddie draws on insights from various fields and heterodox traditions to synthesize his analysis is magnificent. Ofc there are a couple of iffy arguments here and there but overall it's such a fucking wild enlightening ride to read this book for someone who never looked at history through these perspectives.
Most Marxist writer are confined by their ideological framework and this renders their analysis shallow most of the time but this graeber dude offers such fresh takes you don't normally see other leftists do the same.
God now I wanna search for stuff written by anthropologists, especially anarchists.
