Is it over if you didn't have a turbulent life worth writing about? Are there examples of writers who led disgustingly normal lives and yet wrote something decent?

Come to think of it, maybe it's not a coincidence that English started using weird (wyrd) to mean a certain kind of abnormality. Weird people disproportionately leave a bigger mark on the world (have a bigger weird).

I don't deny his importance on 19th century literature, not just on the Anglo tradition but in general, but jesus christ was he disappointing. From what I've read he does have a few good poems and some beautiful verses, but he seems so much more shallow and simplistic than any of the other English romantics and is, in my opinion, nowhere near as good as any of them. I don't understand why he's so still so acclaimed even today. Maybe if I read Don Juan I'll change my mind…

Do you guys have any tips on writing romantic chemistry between characters?

I've watched a few YouTube videos but none of them have been particularly helpful.
