Reading is becoming more niche everyday, due to the masses just sitting around playing video games and watching generic tv. That's fine in moderate amounts, but reading is slowly dying. It's important to support modern authors that you find interesting.

Pretty much. Take the Encyclopedia: the truth of every determination is its next determination. So, for example, the truth of Being is Becoming, the truth of Becoming is Determinate Being, the truth of Determinate Being is Quality, and so on, and, of course, these truth relations are transitive (so, for example, Determinate Being will be the truth of Being).
Since there's this kind of transitivity, if the system is circular eventually you can ground the truth of any category in that same category. For example, you start with Being, proceed to Becoming, then to Determinate Being, and you keep going on until you get to the last category, the one of Absolute Spirit, which will be the truth of all the previous categories: but then you can proceed circularly, finding out that Being is the truth of Absolute Spirit. But since we started with Being, the Being we get at the end will be the truth of the Being we started with.
This of course ties in to Hegel's dictum, for shich only the whole is true. When does Being become the truth of itself? Only once you've put it in a systematic relation (or, in Hegelian terms, only once you've mediated it) with literally every other real determination there is.
What you end up with is an holistic system in which every determination entails the rest of the system, and is determined as an organic component of it.

Of course using such an approsch requires a few precautions, namely: 1) you must find the adequate beginning of the system (the category you start with), and 2) you must prove that each passage from a category to the next is justified with absolute necessity. Regarding 1) Hegel thinks that the Phenomenology of Spirit (and even thr notion of "beginning" in itself) justifies us in starting from the most abstract category, which is pure indeterminate Being (similarly in the Phenomenology he will start with the most abstract form of consciousness, the one of sense certainity).
