if way of kings was just kaladin and dalinar (he's also awful at naming things, my god) i could see way of kings being a pretty good little fantasy story. but instead he chose to bloat the book with unnecessary garbage like countless interludes with characters no one cares about, world development that beats you over the head, flashbacks that would have happened in a chapter in any other book, and retarded 14 year old smart ass jokes from shallan.
