>I'm talking about the resource shortage

Not him, but scientists have been predicting resource shortages/scarcity since the 17th century and it hasn't happened yet. The most pertinent resource in trouble right now is water & jobs, everything else is extensively researched, and then predictions are pushed back another twenty-five to fifty years. Oil, coal, and Natural gas are the most notable of these examples.

So, I'm with that other Anon. What is the hard evidence to reach such a conclusion? Do I believe it'll never happen? Of course not, but what makes predictions today so much more trust worthy then the hundreds before it?
