No, I never fucking ever listen to music while reading. Let me elaborate why.
>Be me, reading War and Peace
>Not that big into music, but listening to general playlist
>Get to the point of Andrey Bolkonsky's death
>You Make My Dreams Come True by Hall and Oats comes on my laptop
>Prince Andrey is dying, realizing the existential state of humanity
>"You make my dreams come true ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh"
>Prince Aundrey realizes the futility of his vainglorious attempts at heroism and idealism
>"You make my dreams come true ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh"

Til this day, I still associate Prince Aundrey Bolkonsky's death with that shitty fucking song.

This is actually true. Listening to music literally spoiled one of the objectively greatest moments in literature for me.

Never again.
