I penned this short piece today. I ask of your opinions.

As with most of us it seems
To be there a sense of dream.
We sleep, we doze, as if at will
or as if we've taken some magical pill.

I have disliked being a girl ever since I was little, and every time I meet another retarded female, or read a story about one, I feel even more insecure. I mean, look at the ratio of bimbos vs. intelligent girls, anywhere, anytime. I am aware that I cannot be held responsible for half the human race, but this is just an emotional reaction I cannot suppress, by the way further proving that women are controlled by feelings...

can anyone fill me in on the basics of the gothic fiction genre?

The Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson.

It's complicated as fuck and he doesn't explain anything. I don't have a clue who the good guys are and who the bad guys are or why anyone does what they do. He's got several alien races in there but he doesn't even explain what they look like let alone where they came from or what side they're on. Even though it's confusing I'm still enjoying the parts he does explain so I'm going to keep reading.

Some powerful ancient alien mage just used a spell to kill most of an entire army in a single instant from inside his fortress which is a flying mountain, so that was pretty cool.
