You see a flat line.
I see an s-curve, with some fluctuations within the middle of the lines ascent.
You aren't getting it. If we take the choice between living and dying as the central theme of the play (this is shallow and stupid, but you are forcing here so let's just accept it for the sake of argument), it is clear that Hamlet chooses life, at each point the dilemma is presented to him. The reason for his choice changes by circumstance, but his choice is always the same. The tragedy, then--the grand irony of it--of this 'tragedy of the prince of denmark' is in Hamlet choosing to live, he marks out the path to his own death.
Is that clear enough for you?
