This sums up my world view. Modernism/Marxism has basically corrupted near enough every pure thing on earth.
The current mission of liberals seems to be the corruption of children but at least there’s somewhat of a pushback on this.
But anyway, I agree. I wonder if it’s worth pursuing a path in Christianity purely to appeal to young men who want to worship Christ, be treated as valuable men and be their best selves. To read scripture, be strong, learn…maybe my head is in the clouds but I think there could be a good bit of support for something like this.
My main hope, perhaps my only hope, is that true goodness comes out of all of this disgusting subversion of morals.

You won’t go to hell if you choose the wrong Church, silly.
Abide by the commandments and try to imitate our Lord as much as you can, that’s the key.
Church is primarily useful in keeping your faith strong, however.

That’s untrue. Like I said, there are many good men and women in the Catholic Church that abhor what has occurred with the sexual abuse perpetrated by those given power in the church.
What I do agree with you on is that pedophiles should be dealt with in the most severe fashion.
An aspect often overlooked is that the majority of victims being young boys, I would add that we are dealing with a homosexual as well as pedophilic problem in the church, and we have had some terrible Popes and bishops that simply have not done enough to rid the church of this menace.
Still doesn’t mean the teachings are false though.
Also, it is still valid to receive communion from sinners, because we are all sinners. Of course many people including myself would decline it from a known pedophile, but how do you know a pedophile except from when the truth is already out?

They’re entry tier I would say, all the questions I asked and found sufficient answers to at the start of my journey.

I think these are all good questions for her to ask and It seemed to me that I gave her good answers.
I’m the only practicing Christian she knows so I’m happy to test out my new found apologetics and show her the truth. Speaking of; can any of you recommend any literature that defends the faith well? I’ve been thinking about getting the book ‘Four Proofs For the existence of God’
