>Video games are the least passive form of art
And? That has nothing to do with the message that a given game pushes for.
>Socialism doesn't contradict egoism
Yes it does.
Socialism is the political expression of collectivistic ethos. To support socialism requires you to believe that the individual is naught but a part of a larger whole, to be found in society.
>The younger generations are getting married less, having less kids, and are less interested in these things.
So what? That has nothing to do with egoism.
>They're more democratic
Democracy can be just as authoritarian as any other decision-making process.
>and more interested in social justice overall
"social-justice" is codeword for more government control over society.
>specifically because they don't believe in state government.
??????????????????????????????
I don't see the youth of America and Western Europe calling for less government. In the UK at least the youth are overwhelmingly calling for more government funding to the NHS, more government-mandated diversity quotas, more government censorship of speech deemed problematic, etc...
>They're (unsurprisingly) also less religious.
They are just as religious as any can be.
They have a set abstract dogma that they follow blindly. It is just that their god isn't the bearded man on the sky, but rather their conception of the "common good" or the aforementioned "social-justice". It is a god at whose altar they wish to sacrifice personal freedom, both theirs and mine.

See pic for an introduction to what actual egoism is.

>used aspects of narrative storytelling in order to service their ideology
Using literary narratives in order to exemplify and push a thesis is an ancient practice, anon.
>You have no response for the fact that both Scientology and Objectivism are primarily focused on an individualistic flavor of self-help.
Would you argue that Nietzsche's writings are "self-help books"? I read Nietzsche before I read Rand.
My interest in Rand is in her metaethical skepticism and her critical approach towards slave morality. In that sense, Stirner, Nietzsche and Rand are all coming from a similar position, even if they reach different conclusions. It is a truly anthropocentric philosophical tradition which is not concerned with externally defined intangibles. It is a true counter movement to the hegemonic slave morality and idealism upon which all mainstream ethical discussions are framed. The preface for The Ego and its Own succinctly encapsulates this position, imho.
It is ridiculous to pretend this is all the same as some retard talking about space dictators dropping nukes and causing alien souls to go crazy and shieeeeet.
> It's also noteworthy that Nathanial Brandon left Objectivism
I have no idea who that is. I read Rand, not any other person who called themselves an "objectivist".
