I know /lit/ likes to think it's a studious, literary intellectual. Perhaps then, you will be able to answer my question?

What are the details of the field (is it a field?) of comparative literature? If I hypothetically were to get some sort of degree in Comparative Literature, what types of jobs would be available to me?
