>Toaru Majitsu no Index
Pro: 45+ main volumes as well as various side stories and still ongoing and in english thanks to a very dedicated fan translator
Con: Takes a while to get going. First section of official localization done by an ESL retard
>Monogatari
Pro: I think about 15 of the volumes are translated, shifting focus on different characters. Episodic with many comedic moments
Con: Hard to read when you're sleepy. I can only enjoy them in the morning with coffee.
>Boogiepop
Pro: six volumes are translated, they're enjoyable enough and probably a good entry point if you don't want to commit to a longer series. Each story is multiple perspectives often told out of order before coming together in the end.
Con: There's actually something like 20 volumes written over the course of a couple decades, but the English rights holder only did the first six years ago and just sits on the series doing fucking nothing with it beyond the occasional reprint. Fan TL scene not really off the ground, you're mostly stuck with those six volumes.
