So I read the Garnett translation of Brothers K a few years ago, enjoyed it, but absolutely agree with DFW in his calling it "painfully Victorian." So the Peaver/Volokhonsky version seems the logical choice. However, I have learned German since I read it last.

My question: Germanfags, is there a superior German translation? And bonus points for knowing how it fares versus English translations.
