would as many people have read it if not for the protestants? would it be worse literary-wise?
and since what-ifs are pointless and God has done as he has for good, would a Catholic say it is wrong to compare translations while reading (assuming one compares with translations outside of those given the stamp)? And would a Catholic also recommend reading solely the scripture or also suggest an (approved) commentary or somesuch thing?

Bible I used to read as a kid with mom's help. Same for Dinotopia. My weirdo Salem Kirban apocalypse fetish bible I bought for a dollar at a three letter agency used book fair. My D&D 3.5 board books. Anything else I bought from jelly's before they closed.

What seems to me to be the elephant in the room is the motivation for bragging about having made the switch from "high dopamine" "braincell killing" social media, vidya and so on. The avid reader copypasta seems to suggest that it's exactly this resetting of dopamine (which I guess is a popular trope right now with southpark itself having commented on it).

What's up with these threads anyways. Same nature as "Your favorite W X Y Z" template shit; consumerism, egocentrism, "Agon"? Approval, upvotes and karma?

Why would you share how many "pages" you read anyways? Pages of what ffs?

This isn't about books, not even remotely...

What are some mystery stories that are fair and solvable? I've enjoyed puzzles and want ways to improve my thinking, so I'm looking for books with mysteries that can be definitively solved by the reader. I hate books like Sherlock Holmes where solving is impossible. I have tried Agatha Christie, and though they were complex, the end simply stated the solution without any proof, and I had trouble believing the evidence irrefutably pointed toward the solution, so a book that explains why the solution is correct would also be appreciated.
