When I think of the apocrypha I think of the pyramids. I also think of what humanity should want to preserve through an apocalypse. Works that are that important. Thats what I think of when I think of apocryphal. And I think not only are ideas apocryphal, obviously like the gospels for example, the Bible, Genesis, the Torah, Job, etc. (not as much Paul, lol), but that its useful to think of forms as having their own apocrypha. Like English, for example. Its apocrypha includes the Bible, but not really the Bible, but really just the King James per se, and also Shakespeare. My Apocrypha includes the bible, some of Shakespeare, the Louis Segond, and within that I have my own head canon, (its not schizo posting its just little things that I would change). Like my bible, the bible of me, is just the King James bible plus one more page that just says “..and then the FLOOD comes!” Because thats what happens. But thats basically Revelation anyway right, and its just for me. Its what I have tattooed on my consciousness its not for anybody else.

And I think its super important that humanity get its apocrypha figured out. We don’t want to lose this stuff and have to start over.
