In general, I consider myself a person with healthy or even progressive views on race. But there are one thing I truly envy whites for.

The Faustian spirit. The urge to explore or build or develop, that is something whites have that I crave. I love stories about explorers, but outside of whites, who is there? Ibn Battuta and Zheng He, that is it. Whites have Columbus, Lewis and Clark, Amundsen, Hillary, Heyerdahl, Armstrong... so many. Sir Edmund Hillary troubles me in particular. For thousands of years my genetic cousins were content to live in the shadow of Chomolungma, but it was a European who conquered Everest. It's not just historical figures. Look at extreme sports, urban exploration, and the like on YouTube. Everyone is white. The Faustian spirit is in them. Why is it not in my people? Why is it not in me?

Sometimes I imagine getting a blood transfusion from a European blood source, to imbue myself with the Faustian spirit.
